AMS's Best

Mr. Rhonald Randolph

 

Mr. Rhonald Randolph was chosen as Teacher of the Month at Aliceville Middle School.   Coach Randolph, as he is known, teaches physical education and health.  He is married to Carolyne S. Shaw Randolph, and they are the parents of Stephanie C. Randolph Billups (Leviticus) and proud grandparents of a new  grandson, Landon (3 months).  Coach works to educate the whole child with a focus on physical activity in movement education.  Rules of each activity are incorporated into each class with health objectives to promote life long skills.  Coach coordinates extra activities such as Saturday league basketball games and coaches basketball in the afternoons.  Coach is a collaborative teacher who does many things behind the scenes for the faculty, staff, and students.  Coach Randolph is a member of First Baptist Church in Reform and is currently pastor at New Providence Baptist Church in Reform. 

Mr. Casey Kennedy

 

Mr. Casey Kennedy was chosen as the Non-Certified Staff of the Month.  He has worked for the Pickens County Board of Education for 19 years.  He is working as the ISS coordinator at the present time.  He is also the head coach for the Jr. Lady Jackets Basketball team.  He has completed an early childhood education course with Stratford Career Institute.  In addition, he has served 10 years in the U. S. Army.  He has been married to his wife Lynn for 2 years and has two children; Demaria-14 and Jasmine—11.  He is a member of New Hope M.B. Church of Columbus, MS.  He is well respected in the school, community, and county.  His hobbies include coaching basketball, reading his bible, and going to worship. 

Mr. Fred Kennedy

Mr. Fred Kennedy is our Volunteer of the Month.  He is a 1991 graduate of Aliceville High School.  He is a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Aliceville where he is an active member of the male choir.  He has been happily married for nineteen years to Sandra Kennedy.   They have two lovely children (LaQuita and Frederick, Jr).

Throughout his life, he has experienced several job opportunities but now he is a business owner. He has a small business in downtown Aliceville (New Look Fashions).  Along with working his business, he performs various duties within his community.  He has served on many boards and committees within the city of Aliceville.  He has served as Band Booster President at Aliceville High School, PTSO President at Aliceville Elementary School, and now he is currently serving as PTSO President at Aliceville Middle School.

He was elected in 2010 to serve a four year term as County Commissioner for District 2 in Aliceville where he is currently serving.  Upon taking office he held the office of Chairman. Committees that he serves on in the city of Aliceville are the Aliceville Board of Adjustments, and the Aliceville Planning and Zoning Commission.  Committees that he serves within the Alabama Association of Counties are the Financial Administration Steering Committee, Minority Steering Committee, and the Employee Insurance Board. He also serves within the National Association of Counties Economic Development Steering Committee in Washington, DC.

He loves his community and he loves working with and for the people within Pickens County.  He plans to continue to work for this community and is looking forward to helping our community grow.

Jadylan Crawford

Jadylan Crawford, the son of Sylvester and Cassandra Crawford, was chosen as the 5th Grade Student of the Month.    He has two older brothers, Shawnderrick and DeMario Brown.  He loves playing baseball with his cousin M’Kenzy and talking on the phone with his uncle Dr. Bruce Crawford, Vice President of Instructional Services at Lawson State Community College, and Harold Crawford from Little Rock who always encourages him to do good in school.  He is a member of the Emory Chapel CME Church in Aliceville where he sings in the Youth Choir and attends Sunday school and church every Sunday.  His favorite subjects are reading and social studies.  His favorite quote is “And You Know.”  He loves to eat wings from Café 205 and a Chicken Bacon Ranch from Subway.  He is a very respectable young man.    

Leah Jones

Leah Jones, the daughter of Tonnie and Connie Jones, was chosen as the 6th Grade Student of the Month.  She enjoys singing in the Youth Choir and her favorite food is hamburgers.  Her favorite subject is reading.  Her favorite quote is “T.T.G.”    She attends Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. 

Kenton Doss

Kenton Doss, the son of Hattie McCaa and Jack Doss, was chosen as the 7th Grade Student of the Month.   His hobbies include drawing, reading, and playing games.    His favorite foods are pizza, spaghetti, and grapes, and his favorite subjects are science and reading.  His favorite quote is “Believe in yourself and you can make a difference with God’s Grace.”    He attends church at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.    

 Daijah Abercrombie

Daijah Abercrombie, the daughter of Sherry A. Jones and the granddaughter of Mary F. Cousette, was chosen as the 8th Grade Student of the Month.   Her favorite foods are corn and beef ribs, and her favorite subject is math.  Her favorite quote is “With a prodigy leading me to a successful destiny, fame will be only a step away because with God, All things are possible, if I just believe.”  She attends church at Garden of Eden C.O. G.I.
